Most Anticipated Movies of 2019

2019 is going to be a big year for movie fans and as the end of 2018 nears, the anticipation rises. So, without further adieu, here are my top 10 most anticipated movies of 2019:

10. Terminator 3 (or 6, honestly, I don't know anymore)

Yeah, so Tim Miller, director of the 2016's Deadpool, is making a Terminator 2 sequel with the original cast, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, in tow. This is weird because there have been three Terminator movies since the second film, but I guess James Cameron realized they sucked and is looking to erase them from existence. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

9. Men in Black (reboot?)

I don't know much about this movie other than the fact Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson (Thor and Valkyrie) are the new stars of the series. I like them as a duo and Chris Hemsworth is often overlooked as a comedic actor. Simply put, I'm excited to see Thor take on aliens.

8. Captain Marvel

This movie makes the list for two reasons: it connects to the next Avengers movie and it stars a young Sam L. Jackson. Other than that, I'm moderately excited for this one. I'm not the biggest fan of Brie Larson, but its Marvel, so chances are I'll like the character.

7. Toy Story 4

Yes, they are making another Toy Story movie and Tom Hanks said he cried when doing his final lines for woody. That pretty much sums this one up.

6. The Irishman

This is a straight to Netflix film that will have a limited release in theaters, but its directed by Martin Scorsese and sees Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino on screen together again. Also, this film stars Joe Pesci! He's a funny guy! It's his first appearance in a movie in like a decade so that's awesome. Hopefully, he comes in firing.

5. Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spider-Man: Homecoming is arguably the best Spider-Man movie ever, hence its sequel is an exciting prospect, especially considering the fact Spider-Man died in Avengers: Infinity War. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal is joining the sequel as the villian Mysterio (the guy with the fish bowl on his head).

4. Joker

RJ, is a Joker origin movie necessary? No. Well, what if it stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker? YES! YES! YES! Give me it now! In all seriousness though (insert why so serious joke), I feel like this will be a turning point for DC and hopefully an outlet for them to take a break from their mess of a cinematic universe. Plus, we get to see Joaquin go absolutely bananas!

3. Star Wars: Episode IX

(Gasps)

But, RJ, I thought Star Wars was your favorite thing ever? Yes, it was and still is, but The Last Jedi hurt me and I'm still in recovery. However, I think we all know once the trailer comes out this will bounce to number one. After all, this is the final episode in the Skywalker Saga, but as of now it sits at number three.

2. Avengers 4

This it it. The end of line... until the next 20 movies Marvel has planned get released, but nevertheless, this movie could see the end for some of our most beloved heroes. The stakes were risen at the end of Infinity War and now we got the original team back together to fight one last battle. I'll be there, will you?

1. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Directed by Quinten Tarantino, set in 1969 Los Angeles, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Kurt Russell... The list goes on! Enough said.

Honorable Mentions: Godzilla: King of Monsters, Aladdin, Dumbo, The Lion King
