Brady vs Rodgers

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are arguably the best two quarterbacks of all time. What they've done on the field is nothing short of spectacular.

It's only a shame we got to see them face off once as starters.

The first year they were scheduled to meet was 2010. Brady and the Patriots were 12-2 entering that game. Rodgers and the Packers entered the day at 8-5. At the beginning of the season, it was suppose to be Brady vs Rodgers, Vet vs Up and Coming QB. However that was not the case. Rodgers missed that game with a concussion, making Matt Flynn the starter. The game is most famous for Dan Connolly's 72 yard kick return. The Patriots won that game 31-27. The Patriots finished that year 14-2, with Brady winning his second MVP award. The Packers, on the other hand, went on to beat the Steelers in Super Bowl 45.

The second scheduled meeting between these two was the 2014 season. Both teams started the season slow that year. People were claiming that this was the end of the Patriots run atop the NFL to be over. The Packers started that year 1-2, causing a frenzy in Green Bay. Both teams got their stuff together, with the Packers entering the game 9-3, and the Patriots at 9-2. We finally got to see these two square off. Many people were dubbing this game an early Super Bowl preview. Rodgers got the best of Brady, throwing for 368 yards, two touchdowns, and a 26-21 victory. That same season, both teams were in their conference championship games. The Packers were up by 16 in that game, only to lose in overtime to the Seahawks. The Pats, meanwhile, destroyed the Colts, en route to their fourth Super Bowl. While Brady won his third super bowl MVP, Rodgers won his second league MVP.

Again in 2016, the Patriots and Packers were both in the conference championship. Unlike 2014, the Packers got ran out of the building by the Falcons, while the Patriots took care of the Steelers. Once again, we were robbed of another Brady vs Rodgers Matchup.

Which leads us to today. The Packers are visiting the Patriots. The Packers have struggled this season to a 3-3-1 record, while the Patriots are doing patriot things, with a 6-2 record. This very may well be the last time these two play each other, so we just got to sit back, and enjoy it, because there will never be quarterbacks like these two again.
